Construction on Route 800

UPDATED JUNE 19, 2021:

Closure #2 is slated to begin Monday, June 21, 2021 and is scheduled to end on July 2 (barring no delays). SR 800 will close to traffic from SR 212 west to SR 212 east. During the closure period, there will be NO access to or from SR 800 at either intersection.

Beginning Tuesday, June 1, the first of several closures will begin north of Dover on SR 800 as part of the construction for the ongoing major rehabilitation project between Dover and the Stark County line. The closures are necessary for the contractor to remove the existing concrete pavement from several sections of SR 800 and replace it with asphalt pavement.

Below you will find a detailed map and list of locations with corresponding dates for the upcoming closures between June 1 and August 15, 2021.

SCHEDULE: Please note, the following dates and corresponding locations are subject to change throughout the project. Any changes will be communicated in a timely manner. 

  •  June 1 - June 22: Dover Dam to SR 212 west (Bolivar/Zoar)

  •  June 24 - July:  SR 212 west (Bolivar/Zoar) to SR 212 east (Atwood)

  •  July 2 - July 19: SR 212 east (Atwood) to Mineral City 

  •  July 20 - August 15: SR 183 to the Stark County line (traffic maintained to the Crossroads Plaza, Belllstores via SR 183

Residents and property owners within the closure areas will have one-way access to their homes and properties. However, the road will be closed to through traffic within the given closure dates.

Similar closures will occur along SR 800 in 2022 between Mineral City and SR 183. Details for that work will be shared next spring.
