Independence Day Weekend

 

Friday, June 30

5-8pm – Traveling Program Golf Cart – Look for our traveling program staff on a golf cart stopping at campsites with fun nature games and information. You may even win a prize!!

Saturday, July 1

10-11am – Gnome Craft for Adults – Meet at the Activity Center Shelter to make a cute gnome. For ages 16+.

12-1pm – Painting Craft for Kids – Meet at the Activity Center Shelter and dress for paint! 

3-4pm – Sandcastle Building Contest – Meet at the beach to make art in the sand! Bring your own tools or borrow ours.

4:30-5pm – Bike and Golf Cart Decorating – Stop by the picnic shelter behind the Activity Center to decorate your golf cart or bike in a patriotic Memorial Day tribute before the parade.

5-6pm – Bike & Golf Cart Parade – Feature your bike or golf cart that has been decorated for the holiday in the parade. Line up in the Activity Center parking lot and take a trip around the campground. The parade will go through camp areas A-H.

7-10pm – DJ Donna – Listen to music at the beach while you relax before the fireworks.

Dusk – FIREWORKS Over the Lake – Watch the fireworks display over the lake! Fireworks can be seen from land or water.

Sunday, July 2

9-11am – Non-denominational Church Service – Kids JAM at 9am, followed by service at 10am. Meet at the small amphitheater, weather permitting.

11am-12pm -Guided Nature Hike – Discover the Eagle Trail and Cemetery Bay Trail! Meet at the Activity Center Shelter. Be prepared for a 2-mile walk with sneakers or hiking boots.

2-3pm – Basketball Challenge – Meet at the basketball court to play knockout and other games for prizes! Half of the court will be closed during this event. For ages 8 and up.

4-5pm – T-shirt Tie Dye – Make a colorful and unique creation in the grass near Activity Center! T-shirts will be available for purchase, cash only. Youth sizes are $5 each, adult sizes are $10 each. Sizes are first come, first served. Meet at the picnic shelter behind the Activity Center.

6pm – Yard Game Mania – Learn a new game or challenge someone to a showdown! Meet at the sport court area near the Activity Center.

7-10pm – LIVE Music: Badstone – Bring your blankets and camp chairs to the grassy area beside the Activity Center to enjoy classic rock covers! You may watch from your golf cart in the parking lot or behind the basketball courts.

Monday, July 3

10am-12pm – Gaga Ball – Meet near the Activity Center Shelter to play this fun new game!

1-2pm – Scavenger Hunt – Pick up your scavenger hunt sheet at the Activity Center Shelter and bring it back by the end of the program at 6pm for a prize!

3-4pm – Kickball Challenge – Meet near the basketball courts with a friend to play a game of kickball!

5-6pm – Memory Book Craft for All Ages – Make a memory book to record your stories from the lake. Meet at the Activity Center Shelter.
