6:30-8pm       Ladies’ Night Craft & Dessert – Grab a friend and head out to Atwood Lake Park for a fun girl's night! Dress to use paint while decorating a set of wine glasses and charms. All materials and instructions will be provided, plus snacks! Must be 16 or older. Registration required at

Friday, August 26

6-9pm           Traveling Golf Cart & Craft Kit – Watch for the golf cart traveling through the camp areas with fun nature items and passing out a fun caterpillar craft kit!

Saturday, August 27

All Day           Campers Yard Sale - To setup a yard sale on your camp lot, register at the Welcome Center or call    330-343-6780 by August 26. Participating lot numbers will be available to pick up at the Welcome Center and posted on Facebook.

10am-12pm    First Responders Day – Atwood Lake and the MWCD want to say THANK YOU to First Responders! Meet MWCD Rangers and local first responders. Learn what they do, see the equipment, take pictures, and ask questions at the parking lot across from the Activity Center. Plus, we are offering FREE Gate Admission for all First Responders with valid ID, all day.

10-11am        Yoga at the Beach – Join Be Yoga Studios for a relaxing yoga session on the beach! All experience levels are welcome. Please bring your own yoga mat or beach towel. Suggested donation of $5-10 per person. Admission into the lake is free when you mention the yoga event at the gate.

1-4pm           Learn to Kayak – Learn the basics of kayaking at Atwood Lake Park. If you have recently purchased a kayak or want to learn more, this course is for you! This entry level course combines on shore and on water practice as an introduction to kayak equipment, paddling technique, and safety skills. Registration required at

5-6pm           Nature Center & Craft for All Ages – Explore the Nature Center and make a cute rock cactus craft.
