Winter Solstice Hike

Celebrate the Winter Solstice and the beginning of more sunlight on December 21 at Atwood Lake Park! Take a self-guided hike along the Woodland Trail and bridge by the light of many luminaries and candles. Then head to the Activity Center for hot chocolate and cookies! Plus, create a fun time capsule to commemorate 2021. The luminaries will be lit and refreshments will be available between 6 and 8pm.

Parking is available at the Activity Center and the hike will be up to 2.6 miles long. Since it is self-guided, you can make it your own and go farther or turn around sooner, if needed!
